With the youngest players, success isn’t measured by match results. I measure it by whether the children look forward to football, whether they have the courage to make mistakes, and whether they come back.

• I’m responsible for the whole FUN phase, the youngest age groups of the girls’ academy, and I run three training centres for girls aged five and up, in Vysočany, Jinonice and Kolovraty. Alongside the management side, I’m also involved in the coaching itself. For the first time, the two older age groups are run as selective squads.
• I try to keep up with the times. I’m developing a methodology app that makes planning sessions easier for coaches, gives them an overview and helps them put the methodology into practice. I run the phase with my own tools. The operations calendar holds every date of the season, and the training-centre dashboard shows me how many girls train at each centre and how many more we need to reach the target. I work with my management diary every day: it brings the whole phase together, from the week’s programme and progress on targets to the budget and the development of the coaches.
• In May I completed the UEFA Elite Youth B licence. It greatly enriched my work as both a coach and a manager.
